ACCESORIES AND TIPS

Fuel Tank

The fuel tank can be designed depending on the construction of your glider and where there is space.
Gliders equipped with water ballast tanks are at an advantage as these can be converted to carry fuel. This can be done in many ways. One is to, with an oil- resistant rubber sheet, weld this to a narrow tank of the desired litre volume. This to allow water and fuel to be carried simultaneously.

Engine Mount

The engine mount is constructed in aluminium

Tips Regarding Engine Mount

For the engine to be mounted, the glider has to be able to support 16 kg of the engines weight.
The ideas surrounding this subject are many. We recommend that the mounting plate be constructed of Glasfiber and Epoxy, this to provide a lightweight and strong mounting solution. Naturally it may be constructed of other material, provided the above limitation is met.

Engine Casing

As mentioned earlier our design team is working on a new casing for the JET-RPM 2000AP to reduce the adverse affects of drag. The casing will incorporate a quick release system that will allow the engine to be removed once the flight has ended.
