CURRENT REGULATIONS

Note: The following is directed towards potential buyers in Sweden although it may provide some guidelines for clients oversees.

To be allowed to mount a jet engine on a glider you are at present time required to follow certain rules and regulations. These may vary from case to case and depend on aircraft type.

1. Contact your local EAA Chapter 222. In Sweden:

Inform them that you wish to modify your aircraft and make reference to previous re-builds using form 19.11. The aircraft does NOT need to be re-registered.

2. You have to be a member of the EAA, apply for membership.

3. Contact your local EAA technical controller. A list can be obtained from the EAA. Inform them of your plans and how you intent to proceed.

4. Once your application has been approved you may commence the modifications.
